Cryptic Slaughter

Cryptic Slaughter é uma banda de Crossover Thrash de Santa Mônica, Califórnia formada em 1984. Sua formação clássica tinha: Bill Crooks (vocal), Les Evans (guitarra), Rob Nicholson (baixo) e Scott Peterson (bateria), e foi com ela que gravaram Convicted (1986) e Money Talks (1987), seus álbuns mais aclamados. Por causa de brigas e outros problemas internos o grupo se desfez após o lançamento de Stream of Consciousness (1988). A banda fez um rápido retorno e lançaram seu último registro Speak Your Peace (1990), dessa vez com Dave Hollingsworth nos vocais e Bret Davis no baixo. Em 2018 anunciaram sua volta aos palcos.
