The Make Up

The Make-Up foi uma banda de Washington, D.C. formada em 1995 por ex-membros do Nation of Ulysses. Era formada por Ian Svenonius (vocal), James Canty (guitarra/órgão), Michelle Mae (baixo), e Steve Gamboa (bateria). Mais tarde a banda integraria um quinto membro, Alex Minoff (guitarra), que ficaria na banda até seu fim em 2000. Sua música consistia numa combinação de diversos gêneros que iam desde música gospel, funk, soul, post-punk e garage rock.
