Mission of Burma

Mission of Burma é uma banda de post-punk de Boston, Massachusetts formada em 1979. A banda foi formada por Roger Miller (guitarra), Clint Conley (baixo), Peter Prescott (bateria) e Martin Swope, que era engenheiro de som mas acabou sendo tratado como membro do grupo. Miller, Conley e Prescott compartilhavam as tarefas de canto e composição. Lançaram o EP Signals, Calls and Marches (1981) e o álbum Vs (1982), antes de separarem no ano seguinte devido a problemas auditivos de Roger Miller. Em 2002 a banda voltou a ativa e lança material novo sendo seu último álbum, Unsound de 2012. São frequentemente citados como principal influência de diversas bandas como Nirvana, Pixies, Fugazi, Sonic Youth e outras.
