Brutal Truth
Brutal Truth é uma banda de Grindcore de Nova Iorque formada em 1990 por Kevin Sharp (vocal), Brent McCarthy (guitarra), Dan Lilker (baixo) e Scott Lewis (bateria). Trazendo um som técnico, ultra rápido e em alguns momentos cadenciado, a banda é uma das mais influentes do Grindcore e seu álbum de estreia, Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses (1992) é considerado um clássico do gênero. Uma das principais características da banda são suas canções que duravam poucos minutos e passavam por mudanças atingindo o pico em explosões caóticas. Logo após o lançamento de seu primeiro álbum Scott Lewis deixa o posto de baterista, sendo substituído por Rich Hoak que ficou até o fim da banda. Em 1999 entraram em hiato para que cada membro se dedicasse a seu projeto, como o Stormtroopers of Death, Total Fucking Destruction e o Venomous Concept. Em 2006 a banda foi reformulada, desta vez com Erik Burke na guitarra e gravaram mais dois álbuns, Evolution Through Revolution (2009) e End Time (2011). Em 2014 Dan Lilker anunciou que estaria se afastando do mundo da música e com isso a banda chegou ao fim.
