Far

Far foi uma banda de rock alternativo de Sacramento, Califórnia. Formada em 1991 por Jonah Matranga (vocal/guitarra), Shaun Lopez (guitarra), John Gutenberger (baixo) e Chris Robyn (bateria), a banda alcançou relativo sucesso comercial no final dos anos 90 devido ao seu quarto álbum, Water & Solutions (1998), de onde saiu o hit "Mother Mary". O som mais melódico apresentado neste álbum é muitas vezes citado como influência para diversas bandas, como: Thursday, Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World. Em 1999 o grupo se separa e seus membros se envolvem em vários projetos como New End Original, Onelinedrawing e Gratitude. A banda voltaria a ativa em 2008, fazendo uma turnê que passou por várias partes dos EUA e Europa. Em 2010 lançam At Night We Live, seu último registro antes de se separarem novamente no mesmo ano.
